Oh give me a home
Where they don’t tap my phone
And spy on each word that I say
Where they can’t take a look
At my library book
And my rights are protected each day.

Home, home USA
Where the courts and the laws take the day
Where secret arrests and torture are wrong
And our rights are protected all ways!

The Patriot Act
Opens doors for attacks
But on US not on them --- it is clear  
If we don’t wisely choose,
Precious freedoms we lose,
And government is something to fear.

Where secret arrests and torture are wrong
And our rights are protected always!

There are terrorists, true
But we fear Bush’s crew
They break laws and they say it’s OK
In the land of the free –
That’s you and me
Our rights need protection today.
